There are thousands of law enforcement agencies world wide. The United States of America has over 15 thousand agencies. The State of Texas alone has over 1,900 agencies.

The purpose of this site is to post as many current and historical pictures of police department buildings as possible for the entertainment of the viewers.

The posted agencies are broken down into eight categories:
1. National
2. Regional
3. State
4. City – An estimated population of 50,000 or over
5. Municipal – An estimated population 49,999 or under
6. County – Police Department or Sheriff’s Office
7. University or College
8. Indian Tribal – North American Tribal Police Forces

Web Sites are posted for each agency. For agencies with no separate web site the political jurisdiction web site is listed.

The Latitude and Longitude are listed for each agency. The coordinates are to the geographic center of the indicated political jurisdiction not the agency.

This site was started in October 2014 with a small number of police station pictures. As pictures are received they are posted to the site. The name of the picture taker and/or submitter is also posted. PGPD458, site developer and poster, is a retired Prince George’s County, Maryland, USA police officer.
